Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How can we help you?

At Luecht Family Dentistry, we appreciate the importance of patient education. And we firmly believe that the only silly question is the question that did not get asked!

We believe that the more knowledge our patients have about dental care, the better their oral health will be. We take patient education very seriously!

Many of our patients ask us the same questions, so for your convenience, we’ve included some of them here. If you have a question that is not included here, please do not hesitate to contact us. We welcome any opportunity to educate you about your oral health. At Luecht Family Dentistry, we care about the well-being of you and your entire family!

We will work with you to make sure you are receiving the most benefit from your insurance policy.

We firmly believe that finances should not prevent our patients from getting the dental care they need, and this is why we offer a number of payment options, including credit cards and third-party financing in addition to our same-day payment discount and our in-office savings plan.

Always remember the importance of prevention when it comes to taking care of your teeth and gums. Patients who floss and brush regularly and come to the dentist twice each year for check-ups and cleanings usually spend much less on expensive dental treatments. Seeing your dentist regularly means problems can be dealt with while they are small—and less costly to treat.

We get it; modern lives are hectic and busy. Your time is valuable, and we appreciate that.

Our office is staffed with Dr. Luecht and four hygienists so we can see our patients promptly and avoid delays.

Waiting to see the dentist is frustrating—especially if you are feeling anxious about your appointment. Our office is efficient, and we are committed to seeing patients on time. You can also read some of the reviews from our happy patients to see how we are doing in this respect!

When you call in to make your appointment, be sure to ask us just how long you can expect your appointment time to last. The length of your appointment will vary, depending on the treatment you are receiving and whether you are a new patient or have been coming to our office for many years. Your very first appointment with our practice might run a bit longer as we want to get a thorough medical history from you at that time.

Be sure to write down any questions you might have to make sure you don’t forget anything while you are here.

If you feel anxious about coming to the dentist, be sure to let us know that, too!

If you do not have dental insurance, we are happy to tell you that we have several options available. To help save you money, we offer a discount for payments that are made on the same day you receive service. You can pay for your treatment with cash or check, and we also accept all major credit cards.

We also work with CareCredit, a third-party company that offers zero- and low-interest financing for medical procedures, including dental treatment. We also offer an in-house savings plan. With our in-house plan, patients and their family members are eligible for discounts on all of our treatments and procedures.

If you have questions or concerns about the cost of treatment, please talk to us. We will work with you to figure out the best plan for you.

You can also rest assured that we will take a conservative approach to treatment, and we will do our best to ensure you fully understand why we make a certain recommendation. We also will not proceed with any treatment until you feel comfortable about it and have fully agreed to it.

If you are feeling anxious about your visit, be sure to talk to us ahead of time. We will make sure you fully understand what will be happening during any treatments or procedures. Often being well-armed with knowledge can alleviate fears. We are happy to take all the time you need to answer questions to help waylay your fears.

We will let you in on another secret: The anticipation of treatment is often much worse than the treatment itself!

If you need additional assistance feeling calm, we also have nitrous oxide available. Also called "laughing gas," this is inhaled similarly to breathing in oxygen through a mask. From the moment you breathe it in, you will start to feel relaxed and possibly even euphoric. It leaves your system as quickly as it entered, and there are no lingering after-effects. You will even be able to drive after treatment and return to your busy life.

Don’t let anxiety get the better of you and prevent you from getting the dental treatment you need. We care about your oral health, and we will do what we can to ensure your comfort while you are here.

Yelling at our patients is not our style! Excellent dental care is all about teamwork—and you are part of our team. You will be treated with compassion and understanding—regardless of when you last had a dental appointment. We will be very happy to see you!

If anxiety about the dentist is what has kept you away, be sure to let us know that when you are making your appointment. There are a lot of things we can do to make your visit here as comfortable as possible, including the use of nitrous oxide. We appreciate having the opportunity to talk to you and help ease your mind prior to receiving treatment.

You’ll want to be prepared to provide a thorough medical history at your initial appointment. Make sure we are aware of any chronic conditions you might have. If you are on any medications, we need to know that as well.

Be sure to be honest with us about your habits—even if they are not healthy ones. Even if you are a smoker or you drink a lot of soda, you will not get a lecture. Knowing these details helps us more effectively create a treatment plan that is right for you. The most important thing is that you are taking a step to getting your oral health back on track!

We offer a wide variety of office hours to accommodate our patients’ busy schedules. We are open enough hours so that many of our patients don’t have to take any time away from work.

Our office is open Monday through Thursday, with early morning hours for those who would like to come in before work. We are also open into the evening two days a week for those who find it more convenient to come after work. Our office staff consists of Dr. Luecht and four hygienists, so we can see patients with maximum efficiency.

We also offer same-day dental crowns. We use the E4D Dentist System, which enables us to create a digital impression of the tooth structure. Not only will your experience with this cutting-edge technology be more pleasant—no more goopy impressions—but your dental crown will be made while you wait. This means that in just one appointment we can get your tooth prepared for the crown, fabricate your crown, and permanently place your crown. You will receive a high-quality dental crown—and you won’t need to come in for two separate appointments.

Give us a call; we will find a time that works with your schedule.
