Digital Radiographs

Digital radiography has not only made the x-ray process faster, but digital machines give off less radiation than traditional film x-ray cameras.

In addition, your dentist can view digital x-rays immediately, so we can quickly show you and address any trouble spots. The images created by digital x-rays can also be enhanced, showing a level of detail that is just not possible with traditional x-rays.

Because results can easily and immediately be emailed to your insurance company, you can often get approval for treatment much more promptly.

Nitrous Oxide to Make Your Visit More Comfortable

We realize that visiting the dentist is not on most people’s list of favorite things to do, so we work hard to ensure that your visit here is as pleasant as possible. At Ferentchak Family Dentistry, we are pleased to offer our patients nitrous oxide to help calm dental anxiety and make any treatment more comfortable.

If you feel worried or anxious about visiting the dentist, you might want to try nitrous oxide. Also called "laughing gas," nitrous oxide is breathed in through a mask. Its effects are immediate, and it leaves the body just as quickly with no lingering effects, so you are able to drive yourself home or return to work afterward.

Many people with dental anxiety find that nitrous oxide does a great job in calming them down so they can receive the treatment they need.

Same-Day Dental Crowns

We use the E4D cad/cam technology to offer same-day dental crowns to our patients. Digital technology means we create an impression of the tooth structure without the goopy impression—and we fabricate the crown at the milling station conveniently located in our office.

When the crown is ready, it is placed on the treated tooth structure, checked for comfort, and cemented into place—all in the same appointment.

Our same-day dental crowns are free of metal, so there is no telltale dark ring at the bottom of the crown.

Intraoral Camera

Digital radiographs are invaluable for letting dentists see what isn’t visible to the naked eye, but with intraoral camera technology, the dentist’s eyes can inspect even the darkest recesses of your mouth and show you exactly what they see.

Similar in size to a dental mirror, these tiny cameras enable your dentist to see every nook and cranny of your mouth. Even tiny cavities or fractures in your teeth can be viewed—and treated—well before they become big problems.
